PROJECT OVERVIEW
Mehsana Air Strip serves as an important aviation facility in northern Gujarat, enabling general aviation and supporting various essential activities in the region. While it is not be as large or well-equipped as airports, but its strategic location can not be underestimated, At present Flying training and Aircraft maintenance activities are being done at Airstrip, this Airstrip is located in mid of city and surrounded with civilisation. To secured this airstrip 10 Nos. of 55X Zoom lens camera and 40 Nos. of 5 MP Fixed out door cameras are being installed with location wised audio announcement system. A advance hi-tech control and command centre is setup for 24 X7 surveillance.
What did the client want to achieve?
This Airstrip is located in mid of city and surrounded with civilisation. GUJSAIL wanted to have effective monitoring and surveillance against intrusion,theft and some other challenges.
Scope of work your company was involved in
Supply installation, testing and commissioning of CCTV and IP based Public announcement system along with 3 years of operational and maintenance support at site.
What key challenges were faced?
Working with Aviation norms was new to us, permission for work during operational hrs.
How were those challenges resolved?
We studied Aviation norms, changed some of camera location where camera mounting pole height was a concern, changed cable route with consideration of future expansion.
How has your work helped the client?
This installation has helped client to observe, monitor large area effectively 24X7 with minimum security guard, all avoidances are available of any incident happened for detailed investigation.
What are you most proud of in relation to the project?
We have done ELV for various type of Infrastructures projects, but Air strip was new project with different challenges.
